The date of her birth is March 29, 1985, in Roswell New Mexico. Gerina Michel Mendoza was her birth name. Gerina Stevenson, the Mexican mother of Rita Stevenson Stevenson and Alan Stevenson Stevenson, was born in Mexico. Her parents are Mexican as well as American. From the time she was a kid, she has had a strong desire to participate in activities. Gerina started playing golf when she was just 15 years old. Gerina completed her High School studies at Goddard High School. As a high-school student she won the New Mexico Golf State Tournament. Also, she was a volleyball player and competed on the level of state. She went to in the University of Texas in 2003. She took home all the tournaments she played in during her senior years. Through her college years she was awarded an award called the Conference USA Player of The Award and the Female UTEP Sports Athletics Award.
