April Lockhart
April Lockhart is a born July 4 April, 1995. In the seventh grade she began taking guitar lessons and piano lessons. This ignited her passion for music writing. When she was in seventh grade April started taking piano and guitar lessons. The lessons sparked her passion in writing songs. The singer spent much of her the time of 14 making songs and practicing music. Then she began to take trips to write with father in NY and LA. April was also able to add other themes in the song "Take My Hand" for some of acquaintances who faced problems like peer pressure, issues, or even teenage suicide. Lockhart is also gaining a growing fan base as a lifestyle blogger as well as a spokesperson for the popular brand of clean and natural beauty Ilia. The disability she has is part of her persona, however it is not the whole image. Lockhart's Instagram account doesn't ignore her handicap. But it also doesn't emphasize her disability. The message? We all have multiple aspects that our identities are complex and we're beyond our physical bodies. I don't want that to determine me. I do not want to be a disability influencer where that's all I speak about since there are so many other elements to me Lockhart speaks via video from her residence in Nashville. It doesn't impact my daily activities. I carry on my business as usual and have come up with my own methods to adjust. It's also a part of my personality, and it's something that needs to be addressed. The journey of self-acceptance that Lockhart has taken is one that can last an entire lifetime. She can be a role model for this purpose. She has had periods where she felt insecure about wearing certain clothing styles which exposed her arms. Now she wears whatever outfit she wishes and shares pictures on Facebook with pride. For her, self-love is an extended journey. It's a fact that I see with everyone with whatever the source of their anxiety. The people you surround yourself with that truly understand you and see into your heart are the most important people to remind you of what you're worrying about.
