Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
One child was strapped onto my back, while another crawled around in the playground. I spent 12 hours days over months of sanding, and taking wallpaper off, all while carrying one kid. Ha! It was all starting to form, but we weren't anywhere near finished. The project would require an enormous amount of effort as well as my favourite brands of furniture interiors to decorate this place. In order to keep my budget intact, I went with my 3 boys looking for deals at estate sales. We had a weekly schedule that consisted of spending Thursday through Saturday walking around estate and garage sales, shopping for new and used objects. I then spent the remainder of the week sanding and painting the driveway. The furniture I found looked like... that's when my desire to repair furniture began. After our home was furnished I couldn't quit! Markets in town had room to let me sell my pieces. Eventually, I had too numerous pieces of furniture to fit into the space available. I held open houses in my home where one thousand people would visit over a weekend, and visitors could buy anything from the first floor. Growing Days was founded in my own home. The business wasn't just flourishing, but I was also growing our sweet family as well. In a way, I was able to find the perfect way to balance being a mom as well as starting my own company. Growing Days fit perfectly. The year was 2013, and my sweet daughter Nora was born. She is our fourth kiddo. I loved where my business was going, but I wanted some time off. I took some time away from vintage furniture to spend the time I needed with my family. It was just what I needed. However, after just a couple of minutes I began to hear my phone ringing. I started receiving requests from people requesting for help in home improvement and interior design. These were mostly customers that came to my residence to buy furniture. The time flew by before I had a fully-fledged house renovation business. It began with taking clients one by one with a speed I was confident in. I'm sure you would have laughed at me had you told me this was going to be the subject of the DIY Network tv series. It's hilarious to look back on it.
