Katherine Heigl discusses the ways that growing up in a 'white bubble' changed the way she raised her family of multiracial origins. The actress "Firefly Lane" spoke to a reporter that it did not matter what color her skin was for her. But after having a conversation with her Korean-American adopted sister she realized the difference in the way people were treated by her. "I asked Meg whether she felt treated differently when she went out with our parents and the times she was out alone. She replied, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl admitted to parents, "That made me realise how foolish I was." Her anger grew, and she decided to make use of her anger to assist her daughters who were adopted by her. Heigl along with her long-time husband -- the musician Josh Kelley -- have four-year-old son Joshua Bishop Kelley, Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr. In 2009, the couple adopted Nancy Leigh (12), a daughter from South Korea, and Adalaide (8 an African-American child) in the year 2012.
